Atmospheric Foam Concentrate Storage Tank is storage device which used for storage of large amounts of foam. Foam storage tanks are suitable for storing synthetic AFFF, alcohol-resistant AFFF or fluoroprotein foam concentrates. Typically the in line proportioner is connected between foam storage tank and bladder tank as the foam gets drained out after its usage of suppression. Foam from foam storage tank are used to fill into bladder tank.

Foam maker is a discharge device used for protection of open floating-roof storage tank where low velocity foam streams are desired. Its working principle is same as that of foam chamber, only difference being foam maker allows foam to flow directly without storage. As per NFPA-11 they are defined as Type-II Discharge Outlets used for Producing Low Expansion Foam.

During operation the Flow of foam solution under pressure causes induction of air through Air Strainer. Inducted air causes aspiration and low expansion foam is produced.

Foam chambers are discharge outlet used with bladder tanks, pressure pump proportioners and foam storage tanks. They are basically located or installed on the line proportioners near to the outlet of the fuel tank to deliver foam to the surface of a flammable liquid. Foam chamber consist of glass vapour seal located in the body. As the seal break foam enters inside fuel tank or fuel surface to suppress the fuel carrying heat.

Foam deflector are used with foam chambers to direct the foam towards fuel to suppress fire.

Portable inline foam inductor works on the same principle as fixed inline foam inductor. They are designed to be removed and replaced anytime. Firetech portable inductors are designed for use in the manual firefighting operation in field to provide a simple, reliable and on spot method of proportioning in constant flow applications. Firetech Inductor is designed at pre-determined water pressure to give the exact proportioning at that pressure and discharge rate.

Foam pourer are used with the foam maker to direct discharge foam directly to the annular seal area of the open top floating roof storage tank for fire or vapour suppression. FIRETECH Bladder Type Foam Proportioning Unit (Bladder Tank) is provided for accurate foam proportioning of the foam concentrate with the fire-water over a wide range of flow.

FIRETECH Horizontal and Vertical Bladder Tanks consist of the following main components i.e. Foam Vessel, Foam Bladder, Water Piping, Foam Piping, Vent & Drain Valves and Level Indicator.

During operation the water is charged into the bladder tank between the vessel wall and the bladder to the inlet water pressure. Bladders transfers this water pressure to the foam concentrate stored inside the bladder, this causes pressurization of the foam concentrate.

Pressurized foam concentrate is delivered to the foam concentrate inlet of the foam proportioner. A foam concentrate orifice is provided for accurate mixing of the foam concentrate into the fire-water.

The metering pressure drop is created in the foam proportioner which causes the foam concentrate to flow into the fire water stream.

Bladder tanks with horizontal layout are referred as horizontal bladder tanks. Firetech manufactures UL Certified Horizontal Bladder tank from range of 200L to 15000L capacity.

Bladder tanks are also available in vertical layout. They functions same as Horizontal Bladder Tank only difference. In vertical bladder tanks, water enters the tank from left side and forced out foam from right side or vice versa. Vertical bladder tanks are preferred in case of space constraint.

Firetech manufactures UL Certified Vertical Bladder Tank from range of 200L to 15000L capacity.

FIRETECH Inline Balanced Pressure Foam Proportioner is used for accurate proportioning of Foam Concentrate & fire water to form foam solution over a wide range of flow & pressure. Inline Balanced Pressure Foam Proportioner (ILBP) is used with Positive Displacement Foam Pump and Atmospheric Foam Storage Tanks.

FIRETECH Inline Balance Pressure Foam Proportioner consist of following main components i.e Foam Proportioning body, pressure balancing valve, Pressure gauge Water & Foam, pressure trim hose, manual override valve.  

Positive displacement foam concentrate pump delivers pressurized foam Concentrate to the pressure balancing valve. Fire-water and foam Concentrate pressure at inlet of foam Proportioner is displayed by the water pressure gauge and foam pressure gauge inline balance foam Proportioner will accurately proportion the required amount of foam concentrate into fire-water stream over a wide range of flow and pressure.

Firetech ILBP can be provided with or without Manual Over-ride.

Fixed inline foam inductors are designed primarily for use in fixed installations to provide a simple and reliable method of proportioning foam concentrate in constant flow applications.

Firetech Foam Branch pipes are designed to produce long coherent throws of low expansion foam using all types of foam concentrates. Foam Branch pipes are air aspirating type devices typically made of Stainless steel, they provide the means for the production of mechanical foam used for fighting fires in flammable liquids. Similarly, mechanical foam is also used to cover flammable liquid spills to prevent ignition.
